Get Luka 3 Jahitan, Fans Call The Reason For Throwing A Cellphone At Bebe Rexha
JAKARTA - Bebe Rexha experienced an unpleasant incident on the sidelines of his concert tour. The temple of his eye had to be bad after being thrown by a cellphone by one of the audience.
A man named Nicholas Malvagna threw his cellphone and hit the singer's eye with a wound. As a result, Bebe Rexha immediately bleeding and receiving treatment so he had to get off the stage.
Malvagna was arrested by the Manhattan police and questioned. Launching Why 100, Malvagna first thought it was a funny thing.
"I'm trying to see if I can hit him with my cell phone at the end of the stage because it looks like it's going to be funny," Malvagna said when she first interviewed by the authorities.
But recently, Malvagna made a new statement. He mentioned his desire for the idol to take photos with his phone as he referred to the TikTok trend.
"There is a TikTok trend where when you throw your phone on stage, and the celebrity sees it and takes a photo with the phone," the 27-year-old man told prosecutor Stephan Millan.
"I thought he was looking at me. I was in two rows near the stage, but I thought the phone would approach the direction but hit his face instead," he continued.
Malvagna's lawyer Todd Spodek claims Malvagna is a fan who wants Bebe Rexha to take a photo with his phone without bad intentions.
"As a fan, Mr. Malvagna has an intention for Rexha to take a photo with her phone and return it. It's not what Malvagna meant to hurt Rexha," said Todd Spodek.
On the other hand, Bebe Rexha was seriously injured and had to undergo three stitches. Bebe Rexha also shared her latest news through photos uploaded on Instagram.
"I'm fine," wrote Bebe Rexha with two photos showing her temples sewn up.
Malvagna faces two cases, namely cases of interference and attempted assault. However, he is scheduled to be released without guarantees on July 31 and is prohibited from making contact with Bebe Rexha in any form.
Even though the two parties did not know, the defendant's actions were serious. The defendant attended the victim's concert. He thought it would look funny if he threw a phone and his phone hit his face which caused bruises and reddening," explained prosecutor Millan.
"Because of this, we believe guard protection is needed at this time (to Rexha)," he continued.
