To Debut On August 9, Escalade IQ Begins The Cadillac Electrification Era

JAKARTA - Cadillac, a luxury vehicle company, has released the latest teaser from their latest generation iconic SUV, Escalade IQ, which will be exhibited to the public on August 9.

In a teaser released by Cadillac on its official website on June 20, the car is seen in a dark shadow. However, we can see a pair of Cadillac lights and their grips.

The teaser also features a manufacturer logo in the middle. Despite being shadowed, the lighting of the street light in the background together with the front row provides an overview of the size of the IQ Escalade.

On the back, there is a small back wing hanging on the roof, as well as a horizontal red back light at the end. There is also a beautiful panoramic glass roof.

Due to its large size, it is likely that the IQ Escalade will be equipped with a 24-inch rim that has a design that fills the void on the rim.

Although the specifications have not been announced, it is estimated that this premium SUV is based on the latest platform from GM, namely Ultium EV.

This means that Escalade IQ will use the same battery as the GMC Hummer EV which has a capacity of 205 kWh, given that Escalade is one of the largest SUVs in its class.

Cadillac Escalade IQ will be assembled at the Zero Detroit-Hamtrack Assembly Center, United States. The plant is also used to assemble the electric-powered GMC Hummer EV, Chevrolet Silverado, and GMC Sierra Denali.

The factory, located in Detroit, USA, is a long-term investment for Cadillac, with a total cost of around USD 2.2 billion or around IDR 33 trillion.

The debut of Escalade IQ marks Cadillac's commitment towards an electrification era that will run in 2030.
