Instill Capital To DAB Motors, Peugeot Will Mass Production Of Electric Motorcycles
JAKARTA - The electric motorcycle market is experiencing rapid development, and French vehicle manufacturer Peugeot Motorcycles has taken steps to enliven it by partnering with a state company, DAB Motors.
Peugeot's decision to cooperate with the Motors DAB was not without reason. Previously, the Motors DAB had entered the realm of electric vehicles by building custom motorcycles and had introduced a motorcycle concept called Concept-E in 2021.
The concept of a motorcycle introduced has a futuristic design with a compact supermoto-style style. This motorbike is claimed to have an electric power equivalent to a 125 cc engine that uses conventional fuel.
With the development of Concept-E, DAB Motors is considered a suitable partner for Peugeot in building future two-wheeled vehicles. Moreover, Peugeot is known as a skilled company in mass-producing motorcycles.
"Both rooted in local production in France, these two brands are very proud of locally produced premium products to preserve our expertise and contribute to the growth of the French industry," said Sébastien Mas, President of Peugeot Motorcycles, quoted from Rideapart, Monday, June 19.
Simon Dabadie, CEO of DAB Motors, is honored that their company is trusted by Peugeot to develop electric motorcycles with cutting-edge technology. He welcomed this collaboration by saying that the Motors DAB will soon mass-produce electric motorcycles with support from Peugeot Motorcycles and will distribute them around the world.
Although it is not yet clear whether electric motorcycles will be built under the DAB or Peugeot brand, what is certain is that production will be carried out at the Peugeot factory located in Mandeure, France.
