Tickets For The 2023 Indonesia Open Final So Proof That Carolina Marin Is Back
JAKARTA - The women's singles from Spain, Carolina Marin, confirmed that they qualified for the final round of the Indonesia Open 2023, Saturday, June 17. Marin defeated Thailand's representative Ratchanok Intanon in the semifinals at Istora Senayan Jakarta with a score of 21-11, 21-12.
For Marin, this victory is not just a ticket to the final. However, his success proves that Marin is still able to return to his best performance.
"I am very happy with my performance today. It's not just a matter of winning the game, but also more than that. Of course I am very happy to be able to appear in the final round after a long time," Marin said after the match.
"This gives me very high confidence and makes me very happy," he continued, as reported by Antara.
This joy follows his recovery from an injury that has yielded positive results. In 2019 after Marin collected the European Olympic, World Championship, and Championship titles, he suffered the firstterior crude ligament (ACL) injury to his right knee in the 2019 Indonesian Masters final.
He also considered recovery to be very difficult to involve psychologists and rehabilitation of ten hours a day, according to a report from the official Olympic website.
Then just as he returned to his rhythm and felt he could return to the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Marin again tore ACL and both capped in his left knee.

His return in the final round of the BWF Super 1000 tournament as well as the race for qualifying points for the 2024 Paris Olympics, made many people believe that the 'Marin the Champion' had returned to its best performance.
"I think it's easy to say that Carolina Marin has fully returned (from injury), but no single player in the world has escaped the (risk of) injury. That's easy to say (I'm back), but in fact it's hard to do (by me)," said the 2016 Rio Olympic gold winner.
"Over the past year it has been very difficult for me to return (to my best performance), and to play tournaments and fight the world's top players, it's very difficult. It's easy to say but I'm going to live in this moment. I'm in a good moment, focus on the right path and this is what I want to keep here, "he added.
When asked about her goal of winning another gold medal at the upcoming Olympics, Marin answered with certainty and solidness.
"Of course Olympic gold is my target. But keep in mind that there are many tournaments ahead of the Olympics, and I want to focus on performing better," he said.
Marin will face Chen Yu Fei from China in the final round of the Indonesia Open 2023 and the three-time world champion said he was very impatient to play the match.
"I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's game and I'm very lucky to be able to get support from everyone here, both in joy and sorrow. I love playing here and have a lot of sweet memories," Marin said.
