Dismissed From The DPRD Because It Is Not Nyaleg Again, Cadres In NTB Will Sue PAN

The DPP of the National Mandate Party (PAN) dismissed Najamuddin Mustafa as a cadre and replaced him through an interim shift from members of the West Nusa Tenggara DPRD because he did not run again as a legislative candidate in the upcoming 2024 election.

The chairman of the NTB PAN DPW Muazzim Akbar confirmed the dismissal of Najamuddin Mustafa as a cadre and PAW from members of the NTB DPRD.

"We have received a decree (SK) from the DPP and we will process it as soon as possible," he said in Mataram as reported by ANTARA, Friday, June 16.

He said the dismissal of Najamuddin Mustafa as a cadre and member of the NTB DPRD was in accordance with the DPP PAN Decree number PAN/A/Kpts/KU-SJ/155/VI/2023 regarding the permanent dismissal of H Najamuddin Mustafa as a member of the party. national mandate.

Then for the letter of application for PAW Najamuddin as a member of the NTB Provincial DPRD, it was stated in letter number PAN/A/KU-SJ/096/VI/2023 dated June 13, 2023.

The reason for the PAN DPP to take a firm stance on dismissing Najamuddin, according to Muazzim, is because Najamuddin is no longer willing to run for a potential PAN legislative candidate in the upcoming 2024 election.

Meanwhile, based on internal PAN regulations, all faction members who are still in office or incumbents are required to return to the 2024 Legislative Election.

"Therefore, after the decree on the dismissal of Najamuddin, one of the points in the letter of dismissal is that all members of the district and city and provincial DPRD and the DPR RI must nominate themselves again in the 2024 Legislative Election. Now we know that together with Pak Najam, he is no longer running for PAN candidates," explained Muazzim Akbar.

According to him, his party has tried several times to persuade Najamuddin to run as a legislative candidate in the 2024 General Election. But Najamuddin never heeded this effort by sticking with his decision not to move forward again.

"We have been given a warning several times, we have called and I have also come to his house to talk about going forward through PAN. But there was no response, so I'm sure he already knows, because as a result of his decision he already understands the risks, so it's important that we have informed him," he said.

Separately, Najamuddin Mustafa admitted that he had heard about his dismissal as a cadre and member of the NTB DPRD. He emphasized that he would take legal action because he felt he had been wronged by PAN.

"This is a form of defense against PAN's accusations against me," he said accompanied by his attorneys Baharuddin and Burhanuddin.

Najamuddin said there were allegations of being baseless as the reason the party conducted PAW. But there is no evidence of all of that. For example, there has never been a letter of warning of any form against him for his mistakes while in the party.

"There should be an official letter from the PAN DPW as a form of warning letters 1, 2 and 3. If this is the case, it can be discussed. Including my son running for another party," he said.

What is clear is that Najamuddin continued, there was never a warning from the party, except by telephone by the chairman of the NTB PAN DPW.

"I don't want to conflict with parties or the chairman of the PAN DPW, but this is a form of my right as a citizen. Legal facts and violations are allowed by the judge to decide," he said.

Najamuddin admitted that the steps were a form of compliance with the law, which always oriented to the constitution, not the PAN DPP, the Party Court, and the PAN DPW.

"I will fight this injustice with self-defense through material power and sympathizers," he said.
