Suspect Rampok Rumah Mewah Di Jalan Majapahit Palembang Tertangkap
A suspect in the robbery of a luxury house with a loss value of tens of millions of rupiah on Jalan Majapahit, Jakabaring, Palembang was arrested by the South Sumatra Regional Police.
Head of Sub-Directorate III of Jatanras, Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the South Sumatra Police, Kompol Agus Prihardinika, in Palembang, Saturday, said the suspect was a man named Apriyadi (25), a resident of Sungai Ogan, Jakabaring, Palembang.
Suspect Apriyadi was arrested in an ambush operation almost without a fight at his home by Jatanras personnel on Friday night.
The arrests were made on the development of information compiled by the police from three other robbery suspects who had previously been arrested earlier last week.
"Currently they, the four suspects have been detained in the detention room of the South Sumatra Police for the investigation process," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, June 10.
Agus explained to investigators that the suspects admitted to robbery at the victim's house with the initials CA (35) who works as an entrepreneur, Friday (21/4) in the morning at around 02.00 WIB.
Their actions were monitored through surveillance camera footage (CCTV) of the victim's neighbors which was later investigated by the police.
At that time, the suspects entered by destroying the fence and door of the victim's luxury house which were empty because they were left trading in Jakabaring Market.
He said the suspect robbed Rp25 million in cash, two land certificates, a motorbike and gold jewelry belonging to the victim.
"All the weapons containing the victim's property were robbed, although there were no casualties in the action, the victim suffered a material loss estimated at Rp44 million," he said.

For this act, the four suspects were charged with violating Article 368 of the Criminal Code regarding theft with weights carried out in groups with the threat of imprisonment for 12 years.
