Was Delayed By 2 Years, The Sweet Ancol 2 Bridge Is Ready To Be Produced
JAKARTA - After the success of the first sequel in 2019, MVP Pictures is preparing to release the Sweet Ancol 2 Bridge. Raam Punjabi as the producer said that the 2nd sequel would provide a clear answer to the story of the legendary ghost figure.
"The Sweet Story is not over yet. So, what really happened to this Sweet one, we want to give the audience a clear answer," said Raam Punjabi during a press conference at Multivision Tower, South Jakarta on Thursday, June 8.
Meanwhile, the second sequel to the Sweet Ancol Bridge has entered the early stages of production. Anggy Umbara as the director said that the shooting process would be underway soon.
"It's been reading and the shooting process will start soon," said Anggy Umbara
The director revealed that the second sequel had actually been planned since two years ago. However, the plan had to be postponed because Indah Permatasari as the Maryam actor in the first sequel was pregnant at that time.
Anggy said, Indah successfully played Maryam in the first sequel. Therefore, he did not want to change the position of the wife of Arie Kriting with another actress.

Meanwhile, Indah, who claimed to be honored to see herself again trusted to play Maryam, expressed her readiness to undergo the shooting process optimally.
"The feeling is strange to wait for a great director and producer. Of course it's really happy, that's why this time I really want to optimize for the Sweet Ancol 2 Bridge," said Indah.
Apart from Indah Permatasari, the Sweet Ancol 2 Bridge will also star Cornelio Sunny, Ozy Syah putra, Jamelah salim, Arif Didu and Anyun Cadel. This film is planned to be shown in cinemas throughout Indonesia in December 2023.
