A Santri Becomes A Victim Of Senior Violence At Bogor Islamic Boarding School

BOGOR - A male student with the initials KVD is suspected of being a victim of violence in the Tahfidz Tanbihul Ghofilin Cibinong Islamic boarding school area (ponpes) in Sukahati Village, Cibinong District, Bogor Regency.

Representative of the family who is the victim's brother, Rizky Dewantara admitted that he did not accept that his younger brother who was still in the second grade of junior high school became a victim of violence.

The incident, he said, occurred during a sporting event in the pesantren a week ago.

"It happened on Sunday, said my sister, initially the perpetrator was riding a motorbike and there was a joke, only the perpetrator did not know why suddenly took iron and then was stabbed several times into my ade," he told reporters Tuesday, June 6.

Dewantara said that the alleged perpetrator was a senior at the pesantren, which also made him feel surprised.

"What I ask is why alumni when there are activities in the pesantren, how come they can enter. Then what is being done by the pesantren at this time, I don't know yet," he said.

As a result of the incident, he said, his younger brother suffered injuries to his back and hands. Rizky Dewantara said he would report this incident to the police.

He also hopes that the problems that befell his younger brother and family will get attention from the police and the government.

This is because Islamic boarding schools are places to study, not a place to become heroes.

"I hope there will be firm action from the police or elements of the Bogor Regency government. I want the regent or governor to directly observe why there is still violence in the world of education, especially in Islamic boarding schools," he concluded.

Meanwhile, one of the caregivers at the Islamic boarding school, Ahmad, admitted that he did not know about the incident.
