Singi Wuling Almaz, Chery Tiggo 9 Saves Fuel

JAKARTA - Recently, Chery released its newest flagship SUV, Tiggo 9. Chery positioned Tiggo 9 as a medium-sized SUV and was above the Tiggo 8.

Tiggo 9 comes in various variants, customers can choose a five-seat or seven-seat SUV by offering some interesting features and looks.

Reporting from Carnewschina, Saturday, June 3, the interior has been decorated with dashboards with dual-curved screens for 12.3-inch LCD instrument panels and 12.3-inch central control screens, equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chips.

Under the central control screen, there are three AC outlets. There are also 256 color ambient lights. The center console has built-in wireless charging pads, drive voters, and multifunction buttons.

Chery also provides the top variant of Tiggo 9 which offers steering wheel heating, head-up display, Sony audio 12 speaker system, and driver fatigue monitoring. In terms of safety, this car comes in standard with the support function of level 2 driving assistance systems including automatic cruise control and autonomous parking.

On the exterior, the front looks aggressive with a grip that features the "Chery" logo as a manufacturer's trademark. Then the appearance of the light is slightly thin which makes this car at first glance resembles Wuling Almaz.

For the legs, Chery pinned 20-inch aluminum rims to reinforce the dashing impression on the Tiggo 9. The SUV also has a wide dimension of 4820 mm long, 1930 mm wide, 1699mm high, and 2820mm wheelbase.

Chery Tiggo 9 was built on the manufacturer's newest platform, namely T2X Mars. Unlike other Chinese cars that have started releasing electric cars, Tiggo 9 is still equipped with internal combustion engines.

With a 2.0TGDI turbo charged engine that produces 257 dk and a 400 Nm torque. Then for the two-wheel drive variant (2WD) it is married to a 7-speed DCT transmission while the four-wheel drive variant (4WD) is combined with the Aisin 8AT gearbox.

Although still using fuel, Chery Tiggo 9 has a consumption of up to 7.7 liters/100 km of fuel. A hybrid version will be available in the future.

For the price, this mid-size SUV is priced from 152,900 yuan to 203,900 yuan. If converted to around Rp319.8 million to Rp426.5 million.
