Chairman Of KASN Asks ASN To Stay Neutral Amid Potential Double Commotion Of The 2024 Presidential Election
JAKARTA - Chairman of the State Civil Apparatus Commission (KASN) Agus Pramusinto asked all ASN to position themselves in a neutral position in the 2024 Simultaneous General Election (Pemilu).
"If not, it will affect public services in the future. This is one of the challenges faced by Pancasila, where we still have the potential to be divided because of politics," Agus said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, May 25.
According to data from the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu), Agus continued, in the 2020-2021 period, where at that time regional head elections (pilkada) were held in 270 regions, violations of ASN neutrality reached 2,034. Of these violations, 1,373 ASN were sanctioned by staffing officials (PPK).
"We have entered the political year and the peak is next year, there are 548 regional elections and legislative elections, as well as the presidential election. The potential for noise will double. Now, if followed by social media, the term tadpole, cadrunit still exists; and if it continues, it is dangerous," he explained.
Meanwhile, Member of the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres) Sidarto Danusubroto, who is also a keynote speaker in the FGD, said intolerance, radicalism, and terrorism are viruses that are a threat to the integrity of the nation.
Sidarto uses the term "ideological vaccination" as an effort to maintain the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia.
"Because Pancasila is Bung Karno's legacy as a founding father, which has been proven to be able to unite diversity," said Sidarto.
If Indonesia is likened to a house, he continued, then the foundation of Indonesia's "house" is Pancasila, with the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia as a pole, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia as a wall and roof, and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika as a resident.

"These are four pillars, since I was the chairman of the MPR, they have continued to be promoted. So, the residents of various ethnicities, religions, cultures, and customs must be accommodated together in this Pancasila house," he said.
Observers of national and global strategic issues, Imron Cotan, believe that Pancasila has been tested by various ideological clashes, such as the left extreme and the right extreme, and even the liberalism ideology.
"Pancasila succeeded in the judiciary, graduating with cum laude," said Imron Cotan.
