2 Days Missing, 2 Children Drowning In The Sukabumi Cimandiri River Found Dead

SUKABUMI - The SAR team has found the bodies of two girls who on Friday 19 May reportedly drowned in the Cimandiri River in Tegaldatar Village, Cibatu Village, Cikembar District, Sukabumi Regency, West Java Province.

The Coordinator of the Sukabumi SAR Post, Suryo Adianto, said that the body of the second victim named Nisrina Rifdatun Nusabah (8) was found in an area within a radius of 8 km from the scene on Sunday afternoon.

According to him, the girl's body was immediately taken to the funeral home not far from the scene of the disaster.

The body of another daughter, Afika Lintang Zulfana (8), was found on Saturday, May 21 at 16.15 WIB, about 100 meters from where she was reported to have been carried away by the current of the Cimandiri River.

The search for the two girls who are still in elementary school was carried out by two teams.

The first team followed the river using rubber boats and the second team searched the riverbank area to find two girls who were reported to have been swept away by the current and drowned while playing in the Cimandiri River on Friday, May 19.
