The Wife Of The Former Aceh Governor Denies Being Absent From The KPK Call: No Notification
JAKARTA - The wife of the former Aceh Governor Irwandi Yusuf, Steffy Burase, emphasized that he had never received a summons as a witness from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). He claims he knows about the summons from the news in the media.
"There is no notification," Steffy said when contacted by reporters, Friday night, May 19.
Steffy also wondered why investigators were summoned as witnesses. He claims he did not know about the gratification case that ensnared her husband's right hand, Izil Azhar.
"The case is not a year old and I am still in a world where I do not know anything and are not involved. It is very clear that their examination of me is only limited to big news regarding my husband," he said.
Even so, Steffy stated that he was ready to be examined. As long as the investigator's summons is correct, it is proven that there is a letter from the KPK.
"If you are called again, hopefully it will be called," he said.
Previously, the KPK asked Steffy Burase to cooperate in fulfilling the investigator's summons. The reason is that he was absent from the examination schedule as a witness on Friday, May 19.
"KPK reminds us to be cooperative at the next summons schedule," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri.
