Maluku BKSDA Ensures The Translocation Of Tree Kangaroo To Papua Next Week
The Maluku Province Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) confirmed that it would translocate the Tree Kangaroo (Dandrolagus Inustus) to Papua on Friday, May 26.
The tree Kangaroo from Papua is the result of security by Maluku BKSDA officers at Yos Sudarso Port Ambon.
"We make sure, after the ship departs for Papua on Friday next week, we will send it to the Papua BKSDA or the West Papua BKSDA," said Head of Administration (TU), Rosna, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 17.
The Maluku BKSDA is still coordinating with the Papua BKSDA to prepare for receiving the tree spillage from Ambon, Maluku.
"We continue to coordinate with the Papua BKSDA and West Papua BKSDA. We are just waiting for their willingness to accept and wait for sea transportation to return and release the tree employee," he said.
According to him, the six tree trunks that were successfully secured were in good health and still had wild nature.
The tree employee is currently being quarantined at the home of the Animal Conservation Center, Cengkih Gardens, Ambon, belonging to the Maluku BKSDA.
The cage is also big, and we separate them. Because if they put them together they can fight. We anticipate that. Because the wild nature is still good and they are healthy," said Rosna.
