The Indonesian National Team To The Final After Silence Vietnam In The Dramatical Match
JAKARTA The Indonesian national team reached the final of the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia after a dramatic 3-2 win over Vietnam in the semifinals at the Olympic Stadium, Cambodia, Saturday, May 13, 2023 evening WIB.
The match lasted ten minutes, Indonesia immediately scored a goal to outperform Vietnam. The goal was netted by Komang Teguh Trisnanda through a header.
Komang managed to conquer defending champions Vietnam after utilizing the dead ball from the inward throw by Pratama Arhan. The loop slid into the penalty box and was successfully completed to the right side of the goalkeeper.
However, Vietnam successfully broke into the Indonesian goal which was guarded by Ernando Ari twenty-five minutes later to equalize to 1-1.
Van Tung scored the goal after using Nguyen Phu Duc's pass. The position of the draw lasted until the referee blew the long whistle signaling the break.
Then after halftime, Indonesia immediately scored a second goal to turn ahead of Vietnam in the 53rd minute. This time it was Muhammad Ferarri's turn to record his name on the scoreboard.
Unfortunately, not long after that the Garuda Troops had to play with ten players after Arhan was shown a red card. The former PSIS Semarang player was kicked off the field for receiving a second yellow card.
Then in the 79th minute The Red Dragons managed to equalize to 2-2 due to Bagas Kahfa's own goal which was wrong to block the ball.
Luckily, in the 95th minute, Indonesia was able to add one more goal through Muhammad Taufany's long-range kick. The 3-2 position lasted until the long whistle marked the game was over.
This victory automatically takes Indonesia to the final. In the final match later, Garuda will face the winner from Thailand against Myanmar.
Indonesia will try to end its gold medal title fast since 1991. It is recorded that this is Indonesia's fifth final since that year, but the previous four finals Indonesia has always lost.
