Daihatsu Ayla Price Rises, The Twins Are Lower In Prices In Malaysia
JAKARTA - The price of the Low Cost Green Car (LCGC) is starting to rise. In fact, this cheapest type of car has approached IDR 200 million.
The increase in car prices is usually caused by several things from the launch of the latest model, an increase in prices on car components, or an increase in production costs.
Along with the launch of the Honda Brio facelift, Daihatsu raised Ayla's flagship LCGC price for the Indonesian market from Rp134 million to the highest type in the range of Rp189.9 million.
However, this does not make Malaysian brands owned by Daihatsu and Toyota, Perodua to increase the price of their products.
Minister of Investment, sales and industry, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz, said that during the Malaysia Autoshow 2023 exhibition, Perodua will soon announce the price reduction in one of the models in its ranks.
"I was told that Perodua will soon lower car prices for one of their models, making cheap cars cheaper," said Abdul Aziz, quoted from paultan.org, Friday, May 5.
However, he still kept his model a secret which price would soon be lowered. Aziz said that Perodua would announce as soon as possible. He could only tell that the car to be lowered was the Energy Efficiency Vehicle (EEV)
"Launch instructions, this is also in accordance with the EV. Which model? Just wait for the announcement," said Aziz.
If the cars to be lowered are the EV, which includes the Bezza (Vios), Myvi (Sigra), and Axia (Ayla's Camuran) models.
However, it could be the Axia E model, which will soon be lowered in price. During its launch in 2019, Perodua Axia E was priced at 24,090 Malaysian ringgit or around Rp79.8 million.
