Dogstar, Keanu Reeves Rock Band Working On First New Music In 23 Years
JAKARTA - The Keanu Reeves grunge band that existed in the 1990s and early 2000s, Dogstar has reunited and worked on its first new music in more than 23 years.
Dogstar announced their return via Instagram last summer and has posted a regular update on the progress of their recording sessions.
Dogstar's upcoming release will be the band's band's first new music collection since its second album in 2000, Happy Ending.
In a recent Instagram post, Reeves and his Dogstar bandmates confirmed that their new music will be available this summer.
"Thank you everyone for the good comments. We are very pleased to see such a response," the band wrote.
"Honestly, I didn't expect. This makes us want to play more.
"We're going to be rolling out some new music this summer, followed by some shows. As soon as everything is known, we'll let everyone know soon. A lot to do, but rest assured, we're working on it and have compiled a fantastic team that helps us. We're also going to make a music video to support our first song. That's all I can say right now.
"Can't wait to share our new music with everyone. It's the most satisfying and meaningful set of songs we've ever made. Once again thank you for being so patient with us. We really have the best and most loyal fans!"
Reeves co-founded Dogstar in 1991, and the band later released two albums, toured Bon Jovi and opened a show for David Bowie.

In this band, Reeves plays the bassist and background vocalist. However, his fame in the film world made it difficult to find time for the project so that the band disbanded in 2002.
Dogstar has performed on the same stage with the Agnostic Front, Cannibal Corpse, Observatory, and Deiccide at the 1992 Milwaukee Metal Fest.
