4 Locations In Jakarta That Are The Focus Of Police Security On Labor Day
JAKARTA - The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, in his statement said that the National Police leadership had briefed all police officers in the region to prepare a security plan and contingency plan. The security will later involve more than 12 thousand security personnel.
"There are four areas that are the concentration of security in the May Day commemoration, namely the jurisdiction of the Polda Metro Jaya, Polda West Java, Polda Central Java and Polda East Java," said Sandi, quoting Antara, Sunday, April 30.
For personnel, continued Sandi, the jurisdiction of the Polda Metro Jaya has deployed 4,216 joint personnel, consisting of 3,318 Polri personnel, 690 TNI personnel and 208 DKI Jakarta Provincial Government personnel.
Meanwhile, in the West Java Regional Police, 1,019 joint personnel were deployed to secure labor action in several areas.
The Central Java Regional Police also deployed 4,319 joint personnel and the East Java Regional Police with 3,360 joint personnel.
Especially for the Polda Metro Jaya area, Sandi said, there are four points that are concentrations of workers in the DKI Jakarta area.
"That is the State Palace, the MPR/DPR Building, the Senayan Archery Field, and the North Jakarta Rawa Badak GOR," he said.

Not only that, continued Sandi, in order to maintain security and public order on the commemoration of International Labor Day, a number of traffic engineering will be carried out at points where the mass of workers take action.

On this occasion, Sandi also appealed to workers who will carry out the May Day commemoration and demonstrations to carry out it in an orderly and safe manner. He said the Police would be ready to secure the workers in expressing their aspirations.
