Lebaran Backflow Accident, 2 Jakarta Residents Died On Cipali Toll Road

The Majalengka Resort Police (Polres), West Java, managed to identify three victims who died as a result of a traffic accident on the Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) KM 153 Toll Road. In that incident, two Jakarta residents died at the scene.

"We have identified all the victims who died as a result of a traffic accident on the Cipali KM 153 Toll Road," said Majalengka Police Chief AKBP Indra Novianto as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 25.

According to him, the three victims who died who were identified were Zaraya (2), and Nadiva Inara (4) Cilincing Village, North Jakarta, both died on the spot.

In addition to the two victims, there was one other victim, namely Fitria Ningsih (32) with her address at Cikampek Utara Village, Kota Baru District, Karawang Regency, and the victim who died during treatment at the hospital.

"Korban satu meninggal dunia di rumah sakit, dan dua lainnya di tempat kejadian perkara," tuturnya.

Indra added that apart from causing three people to die in a single accident, the Daihatsu Gran Max B-1271-TMK minibus also injured eight people and immediately treated at the hospital.

He explained that the single accident on the Cipali KM 153 Toll Road occurred on Tuesday, April 25 at around 10.40 WIB, where the vehicle was traveling from the direction of Palimanan to Jakarta.

While at the scene of the incident, Indra continued, the driver was not in anticipation, so the vehicle lost control and then swerved into the row and then climbed again and then tilted over on the outside shoulder.

"With the final position, the vehicle is tilted upside down on the side of the shoulder outside facing the west," he said.
