Deontay Wilder Willing To Face Anthony Joshua In Saudi Arabia

JAKARTA - Heavyweight boxer Deontay Wilder is ready to fight Anthony Joshua. He also wants the fight to be held in Saudi Arabia.

This was conveyed directly by Shelly Finkel as Wilder's manager. He said his client was willing to fight Joshua this year.

"Deontay has wanted to fight [Anthony] Joshua for a long time and of course he is willing to fight him in Saudi Arabia," Finkel told Sky Sports.

Earlier in a recent interview, Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, revealed that his client's next fight is likely to take place in Saudi Arabia.

That was conveyed by Hearn after Joshua secured an absolute 12-round win over Jermaine Franklin earlier this month. The victory marked his revival after two consecutive defeats at the hands of Oleksandr Usyk.

Wilder's name also appears as one of two potential opponents who have the potential to face Joshua in the Middle East later. Another name that sticks out for the plan is WBC heavyweight belt holder Tyson Fury.

Wilder on the other hand, last time in action last October to beat Robert Helenius by knockout in the first round. The victory was won after losing twice to Fury.

Joshua is expected to return to the ring this summer. However, this British star via social media indicated that his next fight would not last until December.
