Carlo Ancelotti Also Joins Chelsea's New Manager Market

JAKARTA - Chelsea is in the middle of selecting a suitable name to become team manager after Graham Potter was sacked. A number of famous names are associated with the London club.

The latest news, is quite surprising. The Blues management is considering appointing Carlo Ancelotti as the next permanent manager.

Frank Lampard was appointed caretaker manager on Thursday. He will be in charge until the end of the season.

Lampard's appointment provides ample time to conduct an in-depth search for a new manager. Ancelotti was included in it, according to ESPN.

Ancelotti's position at Real Madrid itself is reportedly starting to be insecure. The Italian coach is under pressure at Real Madrid because he is in danger of not winning La Liga.

Reportedly, Ancelotti is very suitable if he returns to Stamford Bridge. He is believed to be able to work alongside the technical directors at Chelsea having experience doing so at his former club.

But Boehly found it difficult to persuade Ancelotti to return to London due to interest from elsewhere. It's no secret that he is the main target for the Brazilian national team.

The Italian has reportedly agreed to become the next Brazil boss and will take over at the end of the season.

But Ancelotti is under contract at Real until 2024. Claims are circulating that he has yet to sign any deal with Brazil.

Chelsea has several options to choose from if Ancelotti is not available. Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann are the other favorites to take over from Lampard's position.

Mauricio Pochettino, Oliver Glasner and Marco Silva have also been linked with the seat.
