BNN Decides Rehabilitation Of 9 Students With Cannabis Isap At The Sentani Jayapura Shop

PAPUA - The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Jayapura Regency rehabilitated nine students who were caught consuming marijuana-type drugs in Sentani. Head of the Jayapura Regency BNN Arianto said the nine students were arrested on Monday, April 3. They were caught smoking marijuana alternately in Sentani. Initially, BNN members were suspicious when they saw a group of students smoking cigarettes alternately around the shop in Sentani. Because they were suspicious, he continued, the nine students who sat in class XII High School were taken to the Jayapura Regency BNN Office for questioning, as well as urine examination, all of which were positive.

He said the nine students tested positive for marijuana. Evidence of marijuana is also secured for about one gram.

He said the rehabilitation was carried out by having to attend the BNN Office in Sentani according to a three-month schedule. The decision to carry out rehabilitation was made after first conducting an assessment of them by presenting teachers and parents of students," he explained. "Investigators are still investigating the origin of the marijuana they use," explained Arianto.
