Kadin And Pemuda Pancasila Empower The MSME Economy Through Warung Kelontong

JAKARTA - The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) collaborated with Pemuda Pancasila and the People's Business Friends (Sahara) retail chain to help empower the MSME economy through grocery stalls under the name Warung Pancasila.

Building an economy together to create a people's economy, namely the economy built by the people for the power of the people and the progress of the people, is a noble intention that should be appreciated. This effort to strengthen and expand the economy continues to be carried out by the government and other business elements.

For this reason, in the middle of the Holy month of Ramadan, collaboration to form an independent community economy continues to be echoed by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry together with Pemuda Pancasila and supported by the Sahara retail business network to realize a grocery shop empowerment room called Warung Pancasila.

Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Entrepreneurship Committee, Sharmila Yahya explained that the Pancasila Warung is the result of cooperation with Pemuda Pancasila which will be managed directly by every cadre in their respective regions, to increase the competitiveness of MSMEs in a sustainable manner, ranging from access to capital, store management to supply of basic necessities.

"We are collaborating to encourage inclusive economic sustainability, not an exclusive economy. Because that welfare is part of this country to build an economy together," explained Sharmila, who was appointed as the person in charge of the collaboration in empowering grocery stalls, during the signing of the handover of the inaugural Warung Pancasila realization at Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta recently.

On the other hand, the presence of the Pancasila Warung also provides solutions for the availability of food that is easy and cheap for the community, amid the turmoil in rising prices for basic commodities. The Deputy Chairperson of the Pancasila Youth MPN for Economic Affairs, Arsjad Rasjid, is optimistic that with the presence of a retail network collaboration in each of these areas, the community will be helped by the availability of supplies and affordability of cheap food prices.

The retail business network of 100,000 Sahara grocery stalls is very committed to helping realize the Pancasila Stall in each region at affordable prices for the community, "explained Arsjad, who is also the General Chair of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with optimism.

Another focus of the role of Warung Pancasila is to create a joint forum in improving the economic capacity of people on a scale per region by trying to get proper business training facilities, getting easy access to capital, and being able to keep up with the times in the era of digital optimization to run the small business sector of grocery stalls.

"MSMEs have now become the focus of the national economy. So the results must really be enjoyed by business actors themselves," said Sharmila, who is also the Chairperson of the Indonesian Women Entrepreneurs Cooperative (INKOWAPI).

It is hoped that in the future the target of the presence of this Pancasila Stall can be a driving force for the micro-economic joints in each region, and can be a support for the growth of the Indonesian economy in the MSME segment.
