PHEV's Prius "My Room Mode" Feature, Makes It Easy For All Activities When The Car Is Battery Filled
Toyota has revealed the specifications and features of the model that will be embedded in the PHEV Prius which will be available in Japan, Europe, and North America.
Prius Prime will be equipped with the "My Room Mode" feature. This feature has also been present in another Toyota production car, namely Toyota RAV4 Prime da Lexus RH450+.
This feature allows drivers to enjoy air conditioning or audio when the car is recharging the battery. Well, this is clearly different from the previous Prime Prius which needed to shut down all systems.
Drivers can now enjoy Prius Prime while watching movies, resting, working, internet browsing and others without the need to turn on the engine. In addition, this system will show that energy levels run out faster than charging, meaning users can balance power consumption and avoid running out of battery power.
The PHEV Prius is equipped with a plug-in hybrid powertrain by combining a 2.0 liter cylinder four gasoline engine that produces 146 dk or 109 kW with a single electric motor on the front which produces 118 kW, as well as a 13.6 kWh lithium battery.
The total combined power spent is 220 dk or 164 kW, which can accelerate from 0-96 km/h within a period of 6.6 seconds. In addition to being much more powerful, the new Prime Prius has EV coverage twice as much as before. The zero WLTC emission distance is 87 km for the 19-inch rim variant, or 105 km for 17-inch rims.
For the Japanese market, the Prius Prime trim Z highest specifications are pegged at a price of 4,600,000 Yen or converted into Rp540 million.
