Safe Rice Supply, Deputy Minister Doesn't Guarantee The Price Is Stable During Ramadan

JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Agriculture (Wamentan) Harvick Hasnul Qolbi ensures that the supply of rice is sufficient to meet the needs during the fasting month or Ramadan 2023. Given, the harvest has started.

Furthermore, Harvick said that his party is currently coordinating with Perum Bulog regarding rice trading.

"When it comes to data, God willing, our production is sufficient for the harvest period now and the availability of the month of Ramadan is fulfilled," he said when met at Commission IV of the DPR, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Monday, March 20.

But the price problem, Harvick does not guarantee that it will be stable or down. In fact, he did not deny that prices would increase.

"It's just that when it comes to prices, we know for ourselves that every time before the holidays, Ramadan, Christmas and the new year there must be movement," he said.

With the prediction of price spikes, Harvick said his party was trying to overcome this. However, he asked the public to be patient.

"We hope that the public can be patient to see how the government will do," he said.
