Tomorrow Saturday, Ministry Of Religion Opens Simultaneously Halal Certification Services At 1,000 Points

JAKARTA - The Halal Product Guarantee Administration Agency of the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) simultaneously opened a halal certification registration service at 1,000 points throughout Indonesia on Saturday, March 18, 2023. "This on-site registration service is part of the 2024 Halal Certification Compulsory Campaign which we held simultaneously on Saturday, March 18, 2023, throughout Indonesia," said Head of the Halal Product Assurance Administration Agency (BPJPH) Aqil Irham quoted, Friday, March 17. Halal certification registration services for products and halal certification campaigns will be held in shopping centers as well as places for the concentration of business actors and the community. Location of product halal certification registration services in regions can be checked on the official website of the Ministry of Religion. Aqil said that in this service, business actors can consult on halal certification applications and apply for halal certification of products. "BPJPH will also immediately process applications for halal certification for business actors who apply for halal certification at the location," he said. According to Law Number 33 of 2014 concerning Halal Product Guarantee, halal product certification is mandatory starting October 2024. "If (product) is not ready (certified), it must be prepared immediately, while there will still be until October 2024," he said.

The Ministry of Religion implements the 2024 Halal Certification Compulsory Campaign with the support of the Provincial Halal Service Task Force at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion throughout Indonesia. The implementation of the halal certification campaign also involves the Halal Product Process Assistance Institute (LP3H), the Office of the Ministry of Religion at the district and city levels, district and city governments, shopping center managers, business actors associations, and mass media.
