Had Withdrawn, Ford F-150 Lightning Reproduction

JAKARTA - Having been hit by a recall due to battery problems, Ford, the union's second-largest automaker, announced to resume production of its newest electric pickup truck, the F-150 Lightning.

Quoted from Reuters, Saturday, March 11, there were 18 units of F-150 Lightning trucks that were recalled by Ford due to their production defects. Initially, it was reported that the electric pickup caught fire on February 4 during a pre-delivery quality check at the company's warehouse in Dearborn, Michigan and spread to two other trucks.

Due to this incident, Ford stopped production the following day. And after identification it was discovered that the root of the battery problem that occurred in the F-150 Lightning came from the production of battery cells at the SK Innovation factory in Georgia, USA.

Ford's demand for electric pickup truck F-150 Lightning continues to rise with growing demand in the United States. Ford reports it has received more than 150,000 orders for F-150 Lightning. The company has committed to delivering 80,000 pickup trucks this year.

The good news is again, Starting Monday, March 13, Ford is back to producing Ford F-150 after the problem with the battery cells is resolved.
