152 Keuchik In Southwest Aceh Agreed To Set Aside Rp37 Million ADG To Buy New Service Motorcycles
A total of 152 keuchik or village heads throughout Southwest Aceh Regency (Abdya) allocated a budget of IDR 37 million per village to buy a new official motorbike to replace previous operational vehicles that had been eaten by age."Yes, it is true, the purchase will be made by each village using the Gampong Fund Budget (ADG) sourced from the Abdya Regency Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBK) in 2023," said Head of the Abdya Village Head Forum. Veni Kurnia in Blangpidie, Antara, Friday, March 10.He said the purchase of the village head's operational vehicle was planned for the second and third phase of the ADG 2023 budget, with a total budget of around IDR 37 million per unit."Our plan is to buy a Yamaha NMAX motorcycle with a budget value of around Rp. 37 million per unit. So, the purchase process is in phase two, there is also in stage three of this year," he said.According to Veni, the purchase of the new official motorbike is to make it easier for village heads to carry out their duties.Bearing in mind, he continued, the previous operational vehicle was an output motorbike in 2016 and was no longer fit for use for the purposes of carrying out duties in villages.Meanwhile, Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Student Association (IMM) Abdya Riko Juanda suggested that the purchase of the new official motorcycle should be postponed and focus on the economic recovery of the village community after being hit by COVID-19."It is very unfortunate if this is really realized. Because the official motorbike used by the keuchik is still suitable for use," he said.Instead, he suggested, the village heads should make economic recovery activities in rural areas ahead of the political year, or other activities considered important for the welfare of the community."There are still many suggestions from the community at the Musrenbang that have not been accommodated. So, it is better if the purchase budget is transferred to an important program for the welfare of the citizens," he said.
