Porsche 911 Dakar, Can Beat All Medan

JAKARTA - It is rare to hear manufacturers releasing sports cars to be driven under all conditions. The manufacturer who made the innovative idea was Porsche with 911 Dakar.

The Dakar Porsche 911 was produced to honor Porsche's achievements in winning the world's most violent rally, Rally Dakar in 1984 with a 953-generation Porsche 911.

Previously, the sports car manufacturer from Stuttgart had conducted various trials in various conditions of gravel, snow, soil and sand. Porsche claims the 911 Dakar as the most versatile sports car ever made.

When you look at the standard version, Porsche 911 is not only powerful. However, this car is known to be stable in control both at high and low speeds. By making 911 Dakar, this car becomes more stable and resilient in all conditions.

911 Dakar is clearly different from the standard 911 version. Porsche added that on higher suspensions, off-road tires and added technology so that these cars can travel on unusual lanes. That way, 911 Dakar is ready to venture into various terrains.

In the suspension section, 911 Dakar has been renewed and tires installed for all terrain. No wonder the car looks 1.9 inches higher when compared to the standard version.

This car is also equipped with a hydraulic system. The free distance from the ground on this car can reach like several SUVs. Even so, 911 Dakar is not meant to be crushed on hilly terrain.

Porsche 911 Dakar has a maximum speed of 239 km/hour. Although it doesn't have speeds like the standard 911 version, the car can go on the Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit equivalent to the 996 generation Porsche 911.
