Escaped After The Accident Of Eating 6 People, The Surabaya Indah Bus Driver Finally Surrendered

West Sumbawa Police Commissioner Heru Muslimin said the Surabaya Indah bus driver had surrendered. The driver was involved in a fatal accident on Friday, February 24 in the Batu Guring area.

"The bus driver who was driving the Surabaya Indah bus had surrendered on Sunday (February 26) afternoon to the police," said Heru, Monday, February 27, as reported by Antara.

Regarding the identity of the driver, Heru was reluctant to reveal to the public on the grounds that the security situation remained conducive.

Nevertheless, Heru ensured that his party had followed up on the driver's surrender by conducting security and inspection.

"So, the status of the person concerned is still as a witness who was examined in the case of an accident on the cross-district route," he said.

The deadly accident between the Surabaya Indah bus with the police number EA 7282 SB and a mini bus with the police number EA 7595 A resulted in six deaths and eight injuries.

The accident occurred on Friday, February 24, at around 21.30 WITA. According to the chronology of the police, the accident occurred when a mini bus was traveling from Sumbawa to Pototano colliding with an Undah Surabaya bus that came from the opposite direction.

In the case of the accident, the NTB Police have deployed an analysis traffic accident team to support the West Sumbawa Police Traffic Unit to conduct a crime scene investigation.

The chronological record of accidents was also obtained from the results of the crime scene processing. In addition, there are road conditions for the crime scene where there is no public street lighting.
