Irfan Widyanto's Confession After Sentenced to 10 Months in Prison for Being Proven to Obstruct the Investigation of Brigadier J's Case
JAKARTA - The defendant Irfan Widyanto said the verdict given by the panel of judges was a risk in serving as a member of the National Police.
In the verdict, Irfan Widyanto was found guilty and sentenced to 10 months in prison in the obstruction of justice case or obstacles to the investigation into the death of Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J.
"I just want to say that this is a risk of duty and I hope to return to the National Police", said Irfan after the trial at the South Jakarta District Court, Friday, February 24.
The winner of the 2010 Adhi Makayasa Police Academy (Akpol) stated that he still wants to be part of the Bhayangkara Corps.
Until now, Irfan has not yet known about his 'fate' as a member of the National Police, which was determined through the trial of the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP).
"Want to stay in the National Police", said Irfan.

In the verdict of the panel of judges, Irfan Widyanto was proven to have taken the CCTV DVR at the security post at the Police Complex, Duren Tiga, South Jakarta on orders from the defendant Agus Nurpatria.
His actions were declared by the panel of judges to have violated Article 49 in conjunction with Article 33 of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) to 1 of the Criminal Code.
