Election 20024, Bawaslu Babel Ask For Members To Go Down To Home Check Re-Data Voters
SUNGAILAT - The General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province has tightened the supervision of voter data collection for the 2024 General Election by re-checking homes.
"Supervision at all stages of election data collection is part of our commitment to realizing a democratic 2024 election," said the Coordinator of the Legal, Prevention, Parmas and Public Relations Division (HP2H) of Bangka Regency Bawaslu Zulkifli as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, February 21.
He emphasized that his party will take action according to their duties and functions if they find violations regarding matching voter data, starting from the implementation of matching and research until a temporary voter list (DPS) is determined.
"Not only monitored, Bawaslu Bangka does not remain silent if he finds violations or shortcomings regarding data and research matching by the KPU," said Zulkifli.
His party ordered all panwaslu in all sub-districts to make presentations related to inventory of problems that occur in the field per sub-district. This method is to make it easier to supervise and prevent things from happening outside the rules or stages.
"In addition to ventivating problems in the field, panwascam in the coordination meeting is also provided with how to take action if there are findings. Whether it is against the double voter list, there are no people who enter or are registered as voters, voters who have died but still exist up to several other problems," he said.
According to him, Bawaslu as part of the electoral organization will continue to synergize with the KPU and its ranks to ensure that voter data does not occur in problems.
He argues that the voter data stage is a very crucial stage in holding general elections. This is because the voter list is an important component in the process of voting and counting votes later.
