The Ministry Of Transportation Has Prepared A Budget Of IDR 10 Billion For The Free Motor Homecoming Program 2023
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) through the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) revealed that the budget prepared for the 2023 Free Motorcycle Homecoming program was IDR 10 billion.
Director of Traffic and Rail Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation, Djarot Tri Wardhono, said that the amount of the allocation of funds increased compared to the previous year which reached Rp5.4 billion.
"This year's budget is Rp. 10 billion, last year it was around Rp. 5.4 billion," he said, during the Ngobras event 'Development of Manggarai Station and the 2023 Motical Program', at the Ministry of Transportation, Jakarta, Monday, February 20.
Djarot said, the increase in the allocation of funds for the motis program was due to the three-fold increase in vehicle volume targets this year compared to last year.
"So there are only 2,300 vehicles, now the budget is Rp. 10 billion, the target is 10,440 vehicles. So the volume of vehicles increases 3 times larger," he said.
As for the details, the mobility capacity prepared is 522 units per day. Meanwhile, the total capacity prepared for the 20-day motion period is 10,440 units of motorcycles.
This free motorbike homecoming transportation will be carried out for 20 days. The implementation is divided when the homecoming flow starts April 11 to April 20. Meanwhile, motorcycling runs from April 25 to May 4, 2023.
In addition, said Djarot, travelers carrying motorbikes can buy tickets at a price of Rp. 10,000 to Rp. 20,000 per person. Meanwhile, for motorcycles, they are not charged a fee or free. For one motorbike, you can buy two train tickets.
"The delivery of free motorbikes is facilitated by 2 train tickets with a note that as long as the quota is still there," said Djarot.
Djarot said that this year's motical program is different from the previous year.
This year, he continued, DJKA will combine a series of passenger trains with freight trains.
That way, passengers and goods can go home together in a series of trains this year.
"So the motorbike can go home with the person. Here we have 4 passenger trains combined with 3 freight trains. That's what distinguishes it from the previous year's motion to this year," he said.
Djarot said there are three tracks available in this motis program, including the North Cross, namely Cilegon-Jakarta Gudang-Semarang Tawang with a capacity of 848 passengers and 174 motorcycle units.
The Central Cross, namely Jakarta Gudang-Purwosari (PP) with a capacity of 848 passengers and 174 motorcycles. Finally, the Southern Cross is Kiaracondong-Purwosari (PP) with 640 passengers and 174 motorcycle units.
