Not In Papua New Guinea, The KPK Calls The Regent Of Central Mamberamo Arrested In Jayapura

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said the Regent of Central Mamberamo Ricky Ham Pagawak was arrested in Abepura District, Jayapura City, Papua Province. Ricky's name is on the KPK's wanted list (DPO).

"The information we have obtained is that the KPK suspect was arrested in Abepura," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Sunday, February 19.

Previously, the KPK named Ricky Ham Pagawak as a suspect in the alleged bribery project in Central Mamberamo Regency, Papua. However, the regent fled and his whereabouts are not yet known.

Ricky is suspected of running away to Papua New Guinea with the help of TNI members. Apart from Harun Masiku, his name was the main target of the KPK search for DPO.

In this case, the KPK suspects that Ricky received money from contractors who wanted to get the project in Central Mamberamo. One of them, from Marten, allegedly gave IDR 300 million to billions of rupiah.

In addition, Ricky was named a suspect in the alleged crime of money laundering. There were a number of assets confiscated, including eight plots of land and buildings and five cars.
