Press Drug Trafficking, Police Arrest 14 Drug Dealers in Bukittinggi
BUKITTINGGI - A total of 14 drug dealers were secured by the Bukittinggi Police in the Antik Singgalang operation in the past week. Of the dozens of perpetrators, five of them were recidivists in similar cases.
The Head of the Bukittinggi Police, Commissioner Yessi Kurniati, said that the Antik Singgalang operation was carried out from 3-17 February 2023.
"Operation Antik 2023 aims to reveal and reduce the number of criminal acts of narcotics distribution and create a conducive situation and condition for public order and security", Yessi said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, February 17.
She mentioned that during the 14 days of carrying out the police operation, the Bukittinggi Police Narcotics Unit uncovered 11 narcotics cases with 14 suspects, including 13 men and one woman.
"Of the 11 cases, three of the perpetrators were operational targets (TO) and the other eight were non-operational targets", she said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Bukittinggi Police Narcotics Unit, AKP Syafri said the 11 cases were revealed at different crime scenes (TKP), namely in Bukittinggi City and East Agam Regency.
"Four crime scenes in Bukittinggi City with four suspects, including three men with the initials EFY (37), HFH (22), AS (23) and one woman AT (33)", he said.

While the TKP in East Agam Regency with 10 male suspects namely RS (25), R (48), A (37), RY (38), AR (23), MS (34), AK (34), GA (31), M (39), and EP (54).
He revealed the evidence of narcotics that were seized during the operation, including a total of 15.94 grams of methamphetamine, 10.4 grams of marijuana and 28 ecstasy pills.
Syafri added that the perpetrators were distinguished because they had dealer, user and recidivist status. Of the 14 suspects, four were suspects in the dealer category namely EP, MS, GA and AR, and five other suspects were recidivists in drug cases namely EFY, AT, HFH, MS and EP.
