Slip Of The Tongue, Ridwan Kamil Calls Himself The Governor Of DKI
BANDUNG - A funny moment occurred when the Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil gave a speech at the signing of a joint agreement with the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono regarding the plan to build the MRT phase 3 for the Cikarang-Balaraja route.
In his remarks, the man who is familiarly called Kang Emil reviewed the construction process of the Jakarta-Bandung Mass Rapid Transit. When the groundbreaking started, Kang Emil was still the Mayor of Bandung, while the Governor of DKI was still Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok).
Then, in the middle of this year, it is planned that the Mass Rapid Transit will start operating. Kang Emil actually wanted to say that the launch of the Mass Rapid Transit took place when he was Governor of West Java. However, Kang Emil slipped his tongue and called himself the Governor of DKI.
"Later in June, I will be the Governor of DKI, er Jakarta, er West Java. I am the Governor of West Java, Mr. Heru, the Governor of DKI who will inaugurate (the Mass Rapid Transit). So, (the process of building the Mass Rapid Transit) takes a very long time," said Kang Emil at Gedung Sate, Bandung, West Java, Friday, February 17th.
The Golkar Party politician immediately corrected and explained why he slipped his tongue.
"Haven't had breakfast yet, Mr. Heru. Hehehe. My eyes kept on Mr. Heru. So, in my brain DKI, DKI, DKI. I'm sorry sir. It's a sign that I really respect Mr. Heru. I haven't even replied to my wife's WA (WhatsApp message)," he continued.
Not once did Kang Emil slip his tongue. The second mistake was when he explained the MRT phase 3 development plan, which will begin to continue its trajectory from Tomang, Dukuh Atas, Senen, Perintis to Medansatria.
However, he mistakenly called Medansatria as Medan Merdeka. As is known, the DKI Jakarta Governor's office, DKI City Hall, is located on Medan Merdeka Selatan Street.

"Especially for our MoU in stage 1 until Medan Merdeka. Eh Medansatria. Oops, wrong again. Slip of the tongue a lot. Sorry," said Kang Emil with a chuckle.
For information, the survey agency Populi Center released the electability of a figure to become a candidate for Governor of DKI Jakarta. In a survey conducted on 9-16 October 2022, Ridwan Kamil won the highest electability with 69.7 percent support from respondents.
