Fires OCCURred In A Warteg In Jatinegara, This Is The Cause
JAKARTA - One unit of food business (warteg) located on Jalan Jatinegara Timur, Kedoya Alley, RT 06/04, Bali Mester Village, Jatinegara District, caught fire. The incident is suspected to have been caused by a leak of LPG gas cylinders.
"The object that caught fire was a warteg. When the owner was washing vegetables, suddenly smelled gas. But when he wanted to pull out the gas, suddenly a fire broke out from the stove," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, February 16.
After 4 units of fire fighting cars arrived, the flames were successfully overcome. As many as 20 firefighters struggled to attack the red rooster.
"The burned area is 5 x 10 meters, the cause of the fire was due to leaking gas. The loss is estimated at IDR 5 million," he said.
There were no casualties or injuries as a result of the fire incident. The fire was also successfully extinguished without any propagation to other buildings.
