Floods And Landslides Of West Sekotong Lombok, 8 Years Of Death
NTB - An 8-year-old boy died from floods and landslides that hit Sekotong District, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
The Head of BPBD NTB, Ruslan Abdul Gani, floods and landslides in Sekotong District began at 05.00 WITA, Monday, February 13.
"The victim died one person on behalf of Zahira aged 8 years, a resident of Sepi Hamlet, Buwun Mas Village, Sekotong District," he said, confiscated from Antara, Monday, February 13.
He said, apart from causing the victim to die, the disaster in Sekotong District also caused disruption to road access. Landslides caused road access in Buwun Mas Village to be cut off.
"Other impacts are still in the process of collecting data," he said.
Ruslan said the location of this flood occurred in four villages, namely Buwun Mas Village, Sekotong Tengah Village, Sekotong Barat Village, and Preparation Pengantap Village.
"Currently officers from BPBD NTB Province, BPBD West Lombok Regency, together with related agencies, and TNI/Polri are already at the scene," he said.
According to him, currently his party continues to coordinate with the West Lombok Regency BPBD and report and disseminate information.
Including preparing logistical assistance and equipment. Even the West Lombok Regency BPBD is currently evacuating and assessing.
"Regarding refugees, the data collection is still in progress and until 11.00 WITA, the water is still inundating people's houses," he said.
