Registration Of 7 Candidates For The DKI KPU Commissioners Is Opened, This Is The Schedule And Conditions
JAKARTA - The Selection Committee (Pansel) team officially opened registration for seven candidates for the General Election Commission (KPU) of DKI Jakarta Province for the period 2023-2028. The opening starts 10-21 February 2022.
The Pansel team will work for three full months selecting candidates for the Jakarta KPU commissioner, one of whose duties will oversee the implementation of the 2024 General Election (Pemilu).
"The selection team handed over 14 candidates to the Indonesian KPU, then the Indonesian KPU will determine seven members of the DKI KPU," said one member of the Pansel Siti Zuhro at a press conference at the DKI Jakarta KPUD Office, Friday, February 10, as reported by Antara.
He said the Pansel team would pay attention to at least 30 percent of women's representation in selecting candidates for members of the DKI KPUD.
In its stages, the Pansel team will conduct administrative research, carry out written and psychological tests, medical tests, interviews, as well as a fit and proper test.
In addition, the Pansel team will hold a plenary meeting to determine candidates for DKI KPU members, and announce selected candidate members on May 13-15, 2023.
Before making the announcement, the South panel team opened input and public responses regarding candidates for KPU members.
"It will be the most important stage related to input and response from the community so that the selection team produces prospective members with integrity," said Siti.
Then, the inauguration of the elected DKI KPU members will be held on May 24, 2023.
As for the special requirements for prospective commissioners of the DKI Jakarta KPU, of course, they have an ID card domiciled in Jakarta.
Meanwhile, a number of other requirements were set as follows.
1. Indonesian citizens;2. At the time of registration, the age is at least 35 (twenty five) years;3. Setia to Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, and the ideals of the Proclamation of August 17, 1945;4. Having strong, honest, and fair personality;5. Having knowledge and expertise relating to the implementation of elections, state administration, and party;6. Educate the lowest Strata 1 (S-1);7. Domiciled in the DKI Jakarta province area as evidenced by an electronic identity card;8. Physically capable, mentally, and free from narcotics abuse; i. Resigning from membership of political parties at least 5 (five) years at the time of registering as a candidate;9. Resigning from political positions, positions in government, and/or business entities belonging to regional-owned countries/business entities at the time of registering as candidates; 10.▁secaramend to resign from the management of community organizations that are legal entities and are not legal entities if they have been elected as members of the Provincial KPU, as evidenced by a statement; 11. Never jailed based on a court decision that has obtained permanent legal force for committing criminal acts that are threatened with imprisonment of 5 (five) years or more; 12. Free to work full time, as evidenced by a statement letter; 13. Bersed not to occupy political positions, positions in government, and/or business entities belonging to the state/business entity belongs to the region during the membership period if elected; and 14. Not in association with fellow election organizers.
