Receiving Beef Import Duty, ID FOOD Will Sell IDR 105.000 per Kg
JAKARTA - BUMN Food Holding or ID FOOD received an assignment to import 100,000 tons of frozen beef from Brazil. Later, the maximum price for the meat will be sold in the market at IDR 105.000 per kilogram (kg).
Main Director of ID FOOD, Frans Marganda Tambunan, said that the import of belu beef will start in March. Regarding the price of frozen beef, said Frans, the government has already decided so that his party will follow the price policy.
"The point is we follow the government, we coordinate, the maximum price for consumers for beef for quadriceps is a maximum of IDR 105.000 per kg, that is our task," said Frans to journalists, written Thursday, February 9.
Frans explained that the import of frozen beef was intended to meet people's needs, especially during Ramadan and Eid 2023. Apart from beef, said Frans, his party was also assigned by the government to import 250.000 tons of white crystal sugar or consumption sugar.
As for the corporate action, part of the government's plan to import 991.000 tons of consumption sugar. Frans said that the price of consumption sugar which would later be released on the domestic market was IDR 13.500 per kg.

Furthermore, Frans ensured that the selling price was in accordance with the highest retail price (HET), namely IDR 13.500.
"The price of consumption sugar is off the market at IDR 13.500," he said.
For your information, to make the two commodity imports successful, the government will inject a budget of IDR 8 trillion to ID FOOD. But before the budget is disbursed, ID FOOD first uses internal funds.
