Bakal Import Meat And Sugar Consumption, ID FOOD Gets Injection Funds IDR 8 Trillion
JAKARTA - The government will inject a budget of IDR 8 trillion into the Food SOE Holding or ID FOOD.
The funds will be allocated for beef imports of 100,000 tons and 250,000 tons of white crystal sugar or consumption sugar.
ID FOOD President Director Frans Marganda Tambunan explained that the funding for the imports of the two commodities was borne by the government.
However, continued Frans, before the government disbursed the budget, ID FOOD first used the company's internal funds.
"Actually, we have a funding scheme from the government, but before that we use our own (budget). Approximately Rp. 8 trillion," he said when met in the Hypermart Puri Indah area, Kembangan, West Jakarta, Wednesday, February 8.
Frans said the imports of the two commodities began before entering the month of Ramadan in March 2023.
The goal is to meet the needs of the community during the Ramadan and Eid period.
The beef imports will be sent from Brazil and carried out in stages.
Meanwhile, the total import of sugar consumption was 991,000 tons and was also imported in stages.
On that occasion, Frans said, the selling price of beef released to the market for the front thigh was IDR 105,000 per kilogram (kg).
"Anyway, we follow the government, we coordinate, the maximum price in consumers for beef for the front thigh is a maximum of IDR 105,000 per kg, that's our job," he said.
