Jambi Regional Police Thwarted The Circulation Of 1 Kg Of Crystal Methamphetamine

JAMBI - The Opsnal Team for the Directorate of Narcotics Research (Ditresnarkoba) of the Regional Police (Polda) thwarted the circulation of one kilogram of methamphetamine type narcotics worth IDR 1.4 billion from two arrest cases.

Jambi Police Director of Narcotics Research (Dirresnarkoba) Kombes Thomas Panji said, in this case, the police arrested five perpetrators, two of whom had been named suspects.

While the other three are still in the process of investigation to find evidence.

"From the hands of one perpetrator with the initials YF (27), a resident of Pekan Baru, we found methamphetamine weighing 125.764 grams and was arrested in Lebak Bandung Village, Jelutung District, Jambi City on January 26," said Kombes Thomas, as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, February 5.

After development was carried out, YF's perpetrators obtained methamphetamine from someone who was in Pekan Baru, Riau.

Meanwhile, Kasubdit I Kompol Yudha Lasmana said that one perpetrator with the initials A (41) was also named a suspect by finding evidence of 957.234 grams of methamphetamine-type narcotics.

The arrest of the perpetrators on Lintas Sarolangun-Bangko Street, Jambi Province where the place is often used as a crossing route for drug abuse and distribution.

The perpetrator with the initial A, he said, was arrested while on the bus he was riding. The methamphetamine evidence was kept in a black backpack.

Based on the perpetrator's confession, the methamphetamine came from Pekan Baru which was to be brought to Lahat Regency, South Sumatra Province.

The Opsnal Team for the Ditresnarkoba Polda Jambi carried out the development of the perpetrators who had been caught and re-arrested three perpetrators with the initials R, B, and T.

The three perpetrators were arrested while in Muara Siban, South Sumatra. It is known that it was these three people who would receive methamphetamine from perpetrator A.

From the disclosure of this narcotics distribution case, the two suspects acted as couriers. The two suspects admitted to receiving wages of IDR 10 million. Both of them have acted as methamphetamine couriers three times.
