The Jabodetabek Area Document Falsification Group Was Finally Arrested By The Police

JAKARTA - The police have arrested seven perpetrators who are suspected of committing crimes of falsifying documents that often act in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek). These perpetrators were arrested from January 1-31, 2023. They are DPS (34), Y (26), IB (46), DPL (26), ARF (22), LG (21) and AGS (20), who are on average teenagers.

"The total number (suspects forgers of documents) are seven people, but different groups. In total there are six groups," said Tanjung Priok Port Police Chief AKBP, Ferikson Tampubolon in his statement, Friday, February 3.

Ferikson explained that the first arrest was made at DPS (34). He was arrested for falsifying fake diplomas. It is recorded that DPS has made 30 fake diplomas since 2022.

Then, the police again arrested two suspects for falsifying the operator's license (SIO) for the forklift. The two people have the initials Y (26) and IB (46). A total of 100 SIO forklifts have been produced.

"On January 18, 2023, he again arrested a high school diploma counterfeiter with the initials DPL (26). DPL was arrested after since September 2022 he managed to sell 10 fake diplomas, each for IDR 1.3 million," he said.

"Then ARF (22) was arrested on January 22, 2023, with evidence of a fake ID card. He has been running the illegal business since 2021 and has sold a total of 70 fake ID cards," he continued.

Furthermore, the police again arrested the diploma pemalsu, LG (21). He was arrested on January 23, 2023.

"Finally, on January 25, 2023, the police arrested a suspect for falsifying a serial marriage certificate to a security guard certificate with the initials AGS (20)," he said.

After arresting the perpetrators, said Ferikson, his party also secured evidence in the form of 117 stamps containing high orders, service heads, school principals and ministries.

"The suspects were charged with Article 263 of the Criminal Code concerning document falsification with a maximum imprisonment of six years," he concluded.
