The Bogor Street Festival Series Cap Go Meh Mulai Digelar
BOGOR - The Bogor City Government (Pemkot) together with the Bogor Street Festival Committee (BSF) Cap Go Meh began to carry out a series of cultural events that became miniatures of unity and diversity from Bogor City for Indonesia as national activities included in the "Kharisma Event Nusantara" (KEN).
Chairman of the 2023 CGM-BSF Committee Arifin Himawan during a press conference on the terrace of the Bogor City Hall, Tuesday, said the bazaar until the cheap basic food market began to be held on Jalan Raya Suryakencana at the end of January.
"Sekarang sedang ada penjualan sembako murah di sekitar Suryakencana, mungkin sudah mau habis, bazaar, sebelumnya sudah dibuka Pak Mayor," katanya.
Arifin explained that cultural festival activities that have been included in the national agenda of KEN will present 60 actions and works of the Indonesian cultural arts group.
The event will be held along 2.1 kilometers on Jalan Raya Suryakencana to the Sukasari T-junction which involves 3,000 committees.
The opening of the Bogor Street Festival will start at 15.00 and will end at 00.00 WIB.
Arifin estimates that visitors who will come at the Nusantara cultural event, which is dominated by Chinese traditional arts and Sundanese art in West Java, will reach thousands of people like in the years before the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2023, the Bogor Street Festival will open face-to-face again to all people who want to watch the cultural party.
However, considering that the event will have an impact on traffic density, visitors are advised to always check traffic engineering information and parking pockets provided by the committee.
"Visitors are welcome to come for free, there are no tickets for visits. This cultural event is a miniature of Indonesian diversity and unity," he said.
