There Will Be A New City In Cikarang Covering An Area Of 500 Hectares, A Total Investment Value Of IDR 20 Trillion
JAKARTA - Sri Pertiwi Sejati (SPS) Group will develop a new city in Cikarang, West Java, named Cikarang International City (CINITY) as a center for commercial and residential areas with a total land area of 500 hectares.
CINITY CEO Ming Ling during a press conference on the launch of Kota Baru CINITY in Jakarta, Wednesday, February 1, said that the increase in industrial areas in Cikarang has made the need for commercial and residential areas in the region even higher because the average industry in the Cikarang area is a multinational company with the number of expatriate workers reaching more than 22.000 people.
"People, both expatriates and locals in this area still really need housing with strategic locations that have complete, safe, and healthy facilities," he said, quoted from Antara.
With the initial phase of development in the 50 ha planned to be completed in 2024 and a total land area of 500 ha for the next 10 years, CINITY will develop a 70 ha green area with a natural landscape far from the industrial frenzy.
CINITY also has easy accessibility because it is strategic on the Provincial Line that connects Karawang with Jakarta and has a very close distance of 1.5 kilometers to Cikarang Station.
With a total investment value of IDR 20 trillion, CINITY will be built into an area separate from the industrial city, 100 percent township. In contrast to the large number of areas that are integrated with industrial areas in Cikarang so that it has an unfavorable impact on the health and comfort of its residents," said Ming Liang.
In addition, CINITY will develop a commercial area on 35 ha land and make it an entrepreneur city for SMEs supported by the Kemenkop UKM and HIPMI.
"We are committed to developing a city that is pro-to the offline retail industry that has an impact on the progress of SMEs, local products and brands as well as labor absorption factors," he explained.
