Waskita Karya Wins New Project Tender Worth IDR 111 Billion

JAKARTA - PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk. is trusted to work on the Daeo Fisheries Port Infrastructure and Facilities Development project Majido, Morotai Integrated Fisheries Marine Center (SKPT), after being declared to have won the project tender. The project value reached Rp111 billion.

The project construction site is located in Daeo Majido Village, South Morotai District, Maluku.

SKPT Morotai is one of the largest suppliers of fish exports in Indonesia. This development will later build ice flake machines, processing plants, processing plants, fish landing sites, stopping fishing boats and cold storage which have a capacity of hundreds of tons.

The Company's SVP Corporate Secretary Ermy Puspa Yunita explained that the construction of the Morotai SKPT in North Maluku will be a very strategic fish supplier from Indonesia.

The location is located on Morotai Island, northern Maluku, located in three Indonesian Fisheries Management Areas. Of course, it will facilitate the delivery of fish whose targets are to Southeast Asian countries to Japan," Ermy said in an official statement, Monday, January 30.

Ermy hopes that this development can boost the productivity of thousands of Morotai fishermen, most of whom are traditional fishermen. The existence of an integrated fishery facility from upstream to downstream is expected to maintain food security.

"Also increasing fish consumption in the community, encouraging foreign exchange income through fish exports, increasing community income, and managing marine and fisheries sector trading procedures," said Ermy.

Ermy said the project is planned to be carried out for 450 days where the scope of work includes the preparation, construction of the Ice Flake Machine, Warehouse, Integrated Cold Storage, Fisherman's Barak, SKPT Office, and Fish Lots.

Then, Culinary Building, Employee Mess, Seawall & Dewatering, Pump House, Area Facilities and Infrastructure Work, Regional Electerial Works, Plumbing & Fire Fighting Areas, Rehabilitation of Fish Auction Places (TPI).

The signature of the work contract was carried out between the Contract signing of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Tri Aris Wibowo, and the SVP Infrastructure III Division of Wakita Karya, Dhet Ariyanto and witnessed several witnesses from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia and the Japan International Corporation Agency (JICA) Representative.
