Turkey Bangun Tiga Fregate At The Same Time: Equipped With Three-Dimension Radar, VerticalANGle Insider To Gokdeniz Air Defense
JAKARTA - Turkey plans to simultaneously build three Istanbul-class frigate-type warships, designed by Turkish engineers.
As work continues to build TCG Istanbul, the first ship of the MILGEM Class I Fregate Project (National Ship), Turkey began working on the sixth, seventh, and eighth naval vessels built domestically, Chief of Defense Industry (SSB) Ismail Demir said to Anadolu Agency on Monday.
Demir said the business partnership had been signed with the Anadolu, Sedef and Sefine shipyards, along with the TAIS Statue Commercial Company, which is a consortium of five leading shipyards of T\"urkiye, and state-owned defense company STM, for all three.
He said the companies had developed their financial structure along with quality project management and labor expertise, gained knowledge and experience to successfully manage projects and risks in naval shipbuilding projects.

Demir said the delivery of the three ships was scheduled for 36 months, reported Daily Sabah on January 23.
"This project will help speed up the delivery time of the three ships, expand the knowledge and experience of private shipyards in the manufacture of military ships," he explained.
If most of the weapons and sensors on Turkish-made vessels were previously supplied from abroad, almost all of them were designed and manufactured domestically for Istanbul's TCG, he said.
"Like G\"okdeniz's short-range air defense system, Cenk's three-dimensional search radar, Scorpion fire control radar, illusion radar, torpedo tube, MIDLAS's national vertical launch system, and Hisar-D are included in the configuration," explained Demir.
"The work that will be carried out under the project and the introduction of new indigenous solutions, together with the level of local content in the system and subsystems on national ships, will increase," he concluded.
