Inter Milan Is Getting Farther Behind But Doesn't Want To Give Up Chasing Napoli

JAKARTA - Inter Milan has fallen further and further behind Napoli after losing to Empoli. I Nerazzurri are now 13 points behind the leaders of the Italian Serie A standings.

However, Inter is reluctant to give up. Coach Simone Inzaghi sees his team still having a chance to grab the Scudetto at the end of the season.

Inzaghi asked his team to immediately forget about this defeat and look at the next match.

"We have to file it immediately," he said after the game. "We have another tough game ahead, and we have to get over it soon, look to the future."

"Of course, we will analyze the mistakes, but we have to think about the next game," he continued.

The season is now halfway through, and Inzaghi admits Inter must improve. Now, there is regret that Inter only finished the first half of the season with 37 points.

"Now, we know we have to do better in the second half," said Inzghi.

Midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is no less optimistic. He said in an interview with Sky Sport that the 13-point gap with Napoli was indeed very far.

"But we have to keep going and not stop. I know it's hard to believe, but there is still a long way to go," said Calhanoglu.
