The SAR Team Is Searching For A Santri Who Drowned In Cirebon

The joint SAR team is searching for a student on behalf of Ali Mujahidin (15) who drowned and was carried away by the current while swimming in the Cipanundan River, Situ Village, Cirebon Regency, West Java.

"We are currently searching for teenagers who drowned in the Cipanundan River," said Cirebon Post Basarnas Team Commander M. Nurudin in Cirebon, quoted from Antara, Monday, January 23.

His party received a report of the incident where the students drowned on Monday, at around 14.00 WIB, and immediately dispatched a team to search for victims, using rubber boats, as well as water search equipment.

Search by combing the flow of the Cipanundan River, both from the edge and middle of the river, through diving, because it is suspected that the victim was caught in a branch in the river.

He said that currently the condition of the Cipanundan River is indeed heavy because the upstream area has heavy rain, so the search is quite difficult.

"The river flow is quite heavy, we are searching by combing the river on the edge, as well as doing dives," he said.

The victim on behalf of Ali Mujahidin has not yet been found, while the joint SAR team consisting of the TNI, Polri, BPBD, Basarnas, and others will return to search the next day, because it is already evening.
