Kasatpol PP DKI Curhat Ranks In Subdistricts Do Not Have A Medium Office: If Rest In Musala
JAKARTA - Head of Satpol (Kasatpol) PP DKI Jakarta Arifin complained about the condition of supporting infrastructure for his staff at the sub-district level. According to him, the sub-district Satpol PP officers do not have adequate offices.
So far, the sub-district Satpol PP only gets a small room in the sub-district office as a workspace and rest after serving in the field. In fact, the number of officers can reach 60 people per sub-district.
This was revealed by Arifin in a working meeting with Commission A of the DKI Jakarta DPRD.
"The Satpol PP office at the sub-district office is only given 4x4 meters of space. Even though our members in the sub-district can be 60 people. So, because there is no adequate room, sir, some have arrived at rest in the prayer room," said Arifin at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building, Tuesday, January 17.
According to Arifin, his staff still need a decent office even though the realm of work is in the field. This is because the sub-district Satpol PP officers need space to rest during their working time.
"Pol PP every time he works, sir. In the morning he has to be in the field to help traffic, help order, all kinds of things. Then there is rest time, he goes back to the office, but there is no place. There is no seat, no bed," explained Arifin.
Therefore, Arifin hopes that there will be budget allocations and the provision of buildings as sub-district-level Satpol PP offices such as the regional offices of the Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) in Jakarta.
Arifin asked the DPRD to approve the procurement of the Satpol PP office when he had submitted an asset request to the DKI Regional Asset Management Agency (BPAD).
"It's good if it is built with units in the sub-district office. If we look at the space, the land is very limited, so we try to take advantage of the existing asset building. For example, which offices are not used, so we use them like that," he said.
