Madura United Ready To Face Barito Putera
Madura United coach Fabio Lefundes said his squad was reluctant to underestimate Barito Putera's eyes before meeting the two teams in the 18th week of the Indonesian League 1 at the Demang Lehman Stadium, Martapura, Saturday, January 14.
Lefundes explained that although the two teams are now far apart in the standings, it will not be a guarantee that his team can get three easy points in this match.
The Brazilian coach explained that the most important thing right now is the good preparation his team has made because the Barito Putera they face is different from the one they have fought before.
According to Lefundes, Barito Putera has now made various changes in his squad and this will certainly provide difficulties for the Laskar Sape Kerrab squad.
"We have seen when they are against Makassar (PSM) and we know for sure there will be differences against us," said Lefundes, quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, January 14.
"We have done good preparations. We have done well to prepare for this match (against PS Barito Putera)," he continued.
"We already know that there are several new players in their team but we are ready to face the situation in whatever match the situation is," he concluded.
It is known that Madura United is now ranked 3rd in the Indonesian League 1 standings with 33 points from 17 matches, while Barito Putera is in 16th position with 14 points.
In addition to the position in the standings which is quite far away, Madura United had a good record when they met Barito Putera after winning in the first round with a landslide score of 8-0.
